A proportion of patients who have had a laparoscopic Gastric Bypass stop begin to regain weight after a relatively short period of time. The cause of this weight gain is often a dilated stoma or pouch. There is currently very little offered to these patients in the UK. The Stomaphyx device is a unique ‘Endoluminal’ technique to reduce the size of the stoma and of the pouch in order to restore a resistance to the passage of food.
