The
latest treatment option for GORD is the Endoluminal Fundoplication.
This procedure mimics the current surgical "Goldstandard"
procedure, the Nissen Fundoplication, but is performed entirely
endoscopically via the oesophagus. This technique, using
a unique device called ESOPHYX is expected to dramatically
reduce. surgical complications and allows patients to return
to normal activity almost immediately after the procedure.

Trials with the Esophyx device show a comparable level of reflux control to the Nissen Fundoplication at one year, with no evidence of Dysphagia, gas bloat or other complications related to the Nissen operation.
